A domestic petrochemical enterprise previously relied on imported alloy castings for its main fraction tower and absorption tower equipment. Due to long lead times and high logistics costs, the customer sought a reliable domestic casting supplier. Our company successfully replaced the imported nozzles, flanges, and support ring components by developing equivalent alloy material solutions and strict process control. The project included material performance verification, casting process simulation, heat treatment optimization, pressure testing, and dimensional inspection, ensuring that the components met the original design requirements.
During the trial production phase, we focused on controlling casting defects such as porosity, inclusions, and surface cracks, which are critical for high-pressure tower components. We established a complete quality documentation system, including chemical analysis, mechanical property reports, NDT records, and heat treatment curves. After sample qualification and on-site review, the customer approved the components for formal use, marking a breakthrough in localized supply for key chemical tower parts.
This import substitution project not only reduced the customer’s procurement costs but also shortened delivery time and improved after-sales response efficiency. It reflects our strength in developing alloy castings for high-pressure and corrosive environments. We believe that more chemical equipment customers will choose localized casting solutions as supply chain stability becomes increasingly important.
